By Section (2)(2) of the Telecommunications Act No. 9 of 2006 (as amended) of the Laws of Sierra Leone, The National Telecommunications Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Commission) was established as a body corporate having perpetual succession capable of suing and being sued in its corporate name.
The object for which the Commission is established is to license and regulate the activities of telecommunications operators so as to promote efficiency and fair competition, and the expansion of investment in the telecommunications sector, the protection of the users or consumers of telecommunications networks and services and the progressive development of the telecommunications industry and technology in Sierra Leone.
The Commission has been the vanguard of the telecommunications revolution in Sierra Leone and the Firm has been a part of the process in advising both local and international companies. The Firm has and continues to maintain an excellent relationship with officials of the National Telecommunications Commission of Sierra Leone.
